Ashford 3: – Week 2 – Discussion 1
Your initial discussion thread is due on Day 3 (Thursday) and you have until Day 7 (Monday) to respond to your classmates. Your grade will reflect both the quality of your initial post and the depth of your responses. Reference the Discussion Forum Grading Rubric for guidance on how your discussion will be evaluated.
Discussion One (as directed by instructor). By Day 1 of Week One, your instructor will assign you one of the following options to complete as your initial post for this discussion.
- Option 1: Figure 7-5 Wire Diagram of Health Care Supply Chain. Strategic factors associated with supply success and enhancement can enhance efficiency and effectiveness of health care. Review Figure 7-5 on page 117 in your textbook. Assess how the information represented in this figure could be used in informatics applications that support the operation and management of clinical systems.
- Option 2: Table 8-2 Success Factors and Barriers to Telehealth Implementation. Review Table 8-2 on page 136 in your textbook. Identify and summarize two scholarly articles published within the past 36 months that address barriers to telehealth implementation. Delineate the barriers and recommend specific actions to overcome the barriers.
- Option 3: Chapter 8 Discussion Questions. Answer questions 1, 4, and 8 on page 145 in your textbook.
Initial post: Your initial post should be 250 to 300 words. In addition to the textbook, utilize a minimum of two scholarly sources to support your points.
