Students will identify a social problem that impacts social workers and the clients that they serve. They will determine which groups are impacted by the social problem, and briefly explain how they are impacted. Students should include a brief history of the problem. Students should include how one’s culture, ethnicity, age, gender identity, religion, race, economic status, and rural/non-urban status affect this social problem. How does the current political climate impact this social problem? Briefly explain why and how social workers should be concerned/involved in this problem. At the conclusion, the student should identify a policy to focus on their policy analysis paper. This paper should be written in APA format and be between 3 – 5 pages in length. The paper should include a minimum of 4-evidenced based sources.
