Shark Tank is a prime time television show on the ABC network. On this show, entrepreneurs present their ideas for products and/or businesses to a group of five wealthy potential investors.
After they discuss their product/business, the investors (aka “Sharks”) offer them money; generally for part ownership in their businesses or for some other type of return on their investment. If the entrepreneur likes a particular offer he accepts the money and uses it to start or grow his/her business.
Go to YouTube put “Shark Tank” in the search bar and watch a segment (one business) that interests you. In an original post tell the rest of the class about the business and whether or not you thought it was a good idea. Did the “sharks” (investors) offer the entrepreneur a good business deal?
