Nurse of the Future Nursing Core Competencies
The future core competencies of nursing were selected because of their ability to develop the different education strategies and prepare the nurses for future professions. With the current complex health care environment, the employers demand a higher degree of nursing skills and competency. The core nursing competencies for the professional nurses are useful framework for the curriculum redesign and promoting the transition into actual practice process. The models were important in improving the U.S. health care model (Sroczynski, et al., 2017). Upon the development of the nursing core competencies framework, the health care organizations are focused on promoting the integration of the academic and practice setting to enhance effective implementation. The successful integration of the nursing competencies into the academic approaches links to the different education levels and thus, promoting the smooth transition between the different nursing programs.
Among the 10 core competencies, the two most important nursing core competencies for future nursing practice are patient-centered care and informatics and technology. The principle of patient-centered care encourages the nurses to provide respectful and responsive individual patient health needs and care and ensuring the values of the patient dominates the clinical decisions (Halcomb, et al., 2016: 2024 – Do my homework – Help write my assignment online). lt is important to consider the intervention recommendations of the patients to ensure that they are involved in the clinical process. As a trauma and burn nurse, l also believe that the future of nursing care will depend on informatics and health technology.

lnformatics will provide the health care organizations will comprehensive databases and advanced information systems to guide the health care delivery process. For example, the use of mobile technology in the provision of patient care is convenient in promoting patient experience and the streamlining of the access to health care. Therefore, these two core competencies have strong connection with my nursing practice in trauma and burns.
