Code switching is something that is incredibly real and many people find themselves doing in order to assimilate to a dominant group. There are many examples of code switching. While it is often attributed to multiple languages, it can be done with accents, terminology, and much more. Throughout this week, we have talked about conflict. Code switching is absolutely an example of intercultural conflict. As you read through the article, think about a time where you had to code switch. Write a 3 page paper (with APA citations and references) explain how you code switched, why you did it, and what you were trying to gain or avoid from codeswitching.
