Design an IEP that evaluates the appropriate individualized
education goals in Math and English Language arts and the issues surrounding an
orthopedic or musculoskeletal disorder. Use the IEP template provided.

goals in Math and English Language Arts that are supported by research-based
instructional strategies to meet the needs of the student.
Analyze the type of disorder. What are the specific disabilities
associated with the disorder?
What are the salient complications as a result of the
disorder?
What are the financial effects and assistance in the
educational system?
Discuss treatment options and rehabilitation.
Discuss appropriate educational interventions to address
these situations.
Write a page paper – Describe the teacher’s responsibilities in terms of meeting
the needs of students with curvature of the spine, hip conditions, limb
deficiency, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and musculoskeletal disorders.
Rubric Guidelines:
IEP design is relevant, and incorporates two appropriate
individualized educational goals, analyzes the disorder, and discusses
treatment, complications, rehabilitation and financial effects.
Content is comprehensive, accurate, and persuasive;
definitions are clearly stated. Major points are stated clearly and are well
supported. Research is adequate, up to date, relevant, and addresses all of the
issues stated in the assignment’s criteria. Three or more relevant academic
sources were cited.
Thesis and/or main claim are comprehensive; contained within
the thesis is the essence of the paper. Thesis statement makes the purpose of
the paper clear.
There is a sophisticated construction of paragraphs and
transitions. Ideas progress and relate to each other. Paragraph and transition
construction guide the reader. Paragraph structure is seamless.

reference(s) and turn it in less than 20%.
