1). The author of the textbook discusses proposed changes to our state-level
courts systems with the goal to unify and consolidate. Do you believe uniFed
courts in the United States would be more e±cient than those state court
systems that are not uniFed? Please explain and support your answer.

in the courtroom. What are some of the civility issues discussed in your
textbook? And, as the manager of the courtroom, what do you think judges

3). One of the key components of drug courts is to provide treatment and
rehabilitation services to o²enders. In fact, drug court is described as “a
comprehensive therapeutic experience” wherein “criminal justice
professional are members of the therapeutic team” (Bureau of Justice
Assistance, 2004, p. 7). Do you believe this rehabilitative approach to drug
o²enders will be successful in the long term? Why or why not? (This question
