Description
This project require that you choose a person to analyze. Person should be someone with whom you are familiar, and whom you have the opportunity to observe on a frequent basis. It should NOT, however, be someone with whom you are emotionally involved as this could jeopardize your objectivity. A roommate, a co-worker, and acquaintance at school, all would seem likely choices. At no time should refer to this person by the name in the paper; instead, choose a code (i.e., “X”) or a fictitious name. Also, do not include detailed demographic information that might accidentally identify your subject.
You will be analyzing this subject using a variety of personality theories. Each analysis will constitute one section of your paper. Each section will start on a new page, will be labeled with the name of the theorist, and should be about 1-1/2 typed pages (doubled spaced) in length. Each section should be written in the third person (that is, don’t refer to yourself by using “I”, “We”, “Our”, etc.) and should apply a theory to the life of the subject (rather than just summarizing the theory itself). However, there need to be continuity across these sections. In each section, you will be learning something new about your subject, something that might contradict an earlier section. This is acceptable, and even desirable !
