Borderline Personality Disorder Research
The 3-page paper must be submitted on blackboard in a word file only and a hard copy turned in. The 3 page length does not include the cover page and References page. No abstract is needed for the paper. There must be a cover page that lists student name, paper title, the name of this course, and the date. Following the title page, the text of the paper will begin with an introductory paragraph starting one inch from the top of the next page (one-inch margins). The font needs to be no larger than 12 point. Poorly written papers will receive lower grades regardless of content. Please be advised that you will need to check your grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Please contact the Writing Center if you feel you need additional help with your writing. All papers should be written in APA style in accordance with the latest edition of the publication manual of the American Psychological Association.

1. Choose a disorder to research – Borderline Personality Disorder
2. Pick a cultural group to examine – women
3. Provide information about the cultural, social, ecological factors related to the prevalence, symptoms, treatment, or diagnosis of the disorder within this cultural group.
4. Research the disorder within this culture including diagnostic issues (misdiagnosis, etc.) and also treatment issues.
5. Identify the values or considerations related to help seeking
6. Discuss effective treatments.
