In this course, you will be analyzing cases that present real human resource management problems that influence the strategic focus of an organization. This will require you to research these problems and potential solutions. Insights to the usefulness of an article of research can be determined by reading the abstract of the article or paper. This this assignment will help prepare you for completing the requirements of the assigned cases.
· Select a human resource management topic for research (e.g., executive compensation, diversity and inclusion, employee training and development, performance management, HR analytics, etc.).
· Prepare six abstracts (150 – 200 words of text, no exceptions). Sample format provided below. Prepare two abstracts from each type of source – (a) practitioner journal articles, (b) academic journal articles, and (c) the Internet Information.
· Prepare a one to one and-a-half page written report providing a comparative analysis of the three types of research sources listed above (e.g., advantages and limitations). Include a discussion of the general fundamental differences between articles found in practitioner journals and those found in academic journals.
· Attach a copy of the first page of all articles and internet source materials with your abstracts. Include a Reference Page listing all sources using APA style.
· Double spaced, 12 font-Times New Romans; single sided copied; pages numbered and stapled.
