Sociology
Topic: Scientific Method
Paper details:
Select a career path that you would like to explore.
Use the steps of the research process to analyze the resources.
Follow these guidelines:
You may choose either your career or a topic that interests you: For example, if your major is business then select a journal article related to business. Or, if you are interested let’s say human trafficking then select a published journal related to this topic.
Do some research and find a good and bad source to compare and contrast. (Articles/videos) Your focus is: Does the article follow the research methods steps as stated in the textbook. Next, select a source that does NOT follow the research methods steps-for example an interview on TV- the person is sharing specific information; such as statistics or the results of a survey….should you consider this as a credible source. We know that Wikipedia is not a credible source but should we eliminate all the sources sited for a topic?
What makes a source good or bad?
Be sure to address any ethical concerns in each source
